Our new mid-year annual report outlines our achievements as the GP federation for Newcastle for the six months from October 2023 to March 2024.
Our successes include:
- 1779 patients seen in three months in our Acute Respiratory Infection Hub
- 716 patients seen on the Newcastle Community Health Bus, our partnership with the Newcastle University School of Pharmacy
- Provided 83 training courses for 567 primary care staff
- Our team of 19 Social Prescribing Link Workers provided more than 1,100 referrals and support included exercise groups, arts and crafts and community gardening
- Managed 10,000 hours of placements for student nurses, pharmacists and paramedics (in 12 months to end March 2024
