NEW Training needs analysis
The Primary Care Training Hub (PCTH) have developed a new format for this year’s Primary Care Training Needs Analysis which moves away from asking individual staff members to complete the survey within each practice, and focuses on Practice Managers/Nurse Leads identifying and collating training priorities/themes for non-clinical and clinical staff groups within their practice using training and development needs identified within staff appraisals and 1:1s
Only 2 completions per practice are now required.

- Allied Health Professionals Workforce (if applicable)
- Personalised Care Roles (if applicable)
- Pharmacy Workforce (if applicable)

NMC Drop In Sessions – Academic and Practice Learning Partners
1st Wednesday of every month, 12.30-1.30pm
The NMC now have facilitated NMC drop-in sessions every month. These sessions provide a space for staff to drop in and speak to NMC colleagues. Each session is facilitated by colleagues across Nurse and Midwifery Education advisors, Education QA, Employer link service and a standards specialist. Please note they are unable to provide clinical advice in these sessions, as this is not within their regulatory role.

The Primary Care Training Hub have commissioned a range of courses for the nursing workforce, and the document below outlines these, providing access to a range of online resources which have been identified by the nursing workforce as areas in which they require further development. This can be used by individuals within the nursing workforce, or by practices, PCNs or line managers to support the development of their nursing workforce, to ensure access to the skills, education and training needed.
