The DNA, Children and Young People’s Health Resource (D-CYPHR)

We have learnt from previous research that most diseases start in childhood, yet despite this most health research is still carried out in adults. The DNA, Children and Young People’s Health Resource (D-CYPHR) was established to help us better understand the genetics behind childhood diseases, in the hope of preventing illnesses in children (and the adults they will become).

We are running the trial across Newcastle and will be coming to a venue near you soon.

Find out more about the research on the D-CYPHR website, or get in touch for more information by emailing ngps.research@nhs.net.
