Christian Townend RRC – Christian attends board meetings as the Chief Executive of NGPS. He has been Chief Exec since September 2017 having worked for the business since its inception in 2014. He was previously a practice manager in a busy GP surgery in the north of the city, and, before his time in primary care, was a member of HM Forces where he worked for 31 years as an Officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Dr Antony Moore – Antony is a part-time GP at Grainger Medical Group – he has been a GP in Newcastle for more than 20 years – and an occupational health GP.
He is one of the founding team of NGPS. Read more on the NGPS team page.
Dr Chris Tasker – Chris is a GP at Walker Medical Group where he has worked for 25 years and is one of the original directors of NGPS. He has been the Newcastle GP cancer lead since 2011, and a Cancer Research UK GP lead for Northern Cancer Alliance since 2015.
He was previously a director at PCNE (Primary Care North East) a not-for-profit social enterprise that provided health care in Newcastle.
He is also a trustee of Children with Cancer in Malawi and a scout leader.
Dr Julian Ralph – Julian qualified at Newcastle Medical School in 2002.
He has worked in a number of medical specialities in the North East and was a Medical Officer in the Royal Navy serving on Submarines and Surface Fleet.
He became a GP in 2011 and has been a partner at Benfield Medical Group since 2013. He has also been a GP trainer since 2014.
Tracey Stuchlik – Tracey is the business manager and partner at Thornfield Medical Group and has worked as a director of NGPS since June 2019. She champions the views of practices and practice managers in the North and East of Newcastle and is the management lead for East Primary Care Network.
Tracey has worked within primary for 23 years and has previously worked as a civil servant with the British Forces in Germany and as a serving member of the Women’s Royal Air Force.
Tracey has been married to Nick for over 36 years and has a son who lives in Texas.
Julie Wade – Julie has been a director of NGPS since 4 December 2017. Julie is also a practice manager at Betts Avenue Medical Centre, a two-site practice in Newcastle based in Benwell and Kenton. She has been in this post since March 2008.
Julie is also the lead practice manager for GP TeamNet, helping practices, the CCG, NuTH and other organisations to use this web-based product to share information. She is also the practice manager representative at the Local Medical Committee (LMC) Meetings and has more recently become the management lead for the Inner West Primary Care Network.
Before joining the NHS, Julie worked in Northern Ireland, Germany and Rutland, while her husband served in the British Army.
Donna Aydon – Donna was a practice manager at Parkway Medical Group until August 2019 when she became business accounts manager and has worked at Parkway since 1991. She was voted in as a director of NGPS in October 2019.
Donna was previously the lead PM for the West of Newcastle and the CCG lead PM for the West of Newcastle. Her aim is to support colleagues and give them a voice, and represent the West practices within NGPS.
Dr Sam Graham – Sam is a GP and senior partner at Saville Medical Group, in the centre of Newcastle, and has been a director of NGPS since October 2019.
