More than 900 staff work in GP practices in Newcastle, from nurses to social prescribers, doctors, physios, receptionists, health care assistants, pharmacists, psychologists and many more.
These staff look after the 300,000 residents of the city and we’ve given six of them the chance to tell their story in a series of ‘day in the life’ short films.
We followed two GPs, two practice nurses, a receptionist and an operations manager working in four practices from East to West of the city over one day during the summer of 2023.
Meet Sue and Becky, general practice nurses, Lisa, an operations manager, Sarah and Rachel, GPs, and Tiffany a receptionist.
